It's been said that K-pop fans collect and keep photo cards of their favorite idols because it gives them comfort and happiness, but one BTS fan was saved from being robbed thanks to a photo of member Jin.

According to a report by Brazilian news outlet RIC Mais, carried by CNN-News18 and allkpop, 21-year-old Natali Vitoria Ramos Reis was waiting at a bus stop in Brazil when she suddenly became the target of a snatcher lurking nearby. The suspect quickly seized her phone when he saw a chance.

However, things took an unexpected turn when the attacker discovered a photo of BTS' Jin in his military uniform as he was running off.

The robber had assumed that the woman had a boyfriend who was a military personnel and didn't want to face the risk of being pursued by a soldier. News reports stated that the attacker returned her phone before fleeing from the scene.

The picture seemed to be that of a selfie that Jin posted on the fan community platform Weverse, where he is seen wearing his military uniform while wearing a white face mask. The South Korean artist had entered the recruit training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province back in December last year as part of his mandatory military service.

As soon as the news of the failed robbery reached the ears of the Armies, many found the story amusing and shared their reactions online.

One user joked about how Jin will "always be there for ARMYs even when he's away."

Another commented, "These men (BTS members) don’t even know how much and in how many situations they are saving us. I am so happy to be a part of this amazing community, BTS X ARMY forever."

Jin recently gave his fans an exciting update about his life in the army when he shared that he has now been promoted to the rank of Corporal in the military earlier than scheduled. He got the promotion after receiving the title of "elite soldier," which is only given to individuals who excelled in training.
