Kobe Paras, Kyline Alcantara and other celebrity couples who made a 'red carpet launch' at the 2024 GMA Gala
Kapuso stars dazzled this year's gala glowing in love with their respective partners.
For its third year, the annual GMA Gala celebrated its brightest and rising stars with a theme, "Bling," the red carpet saw these celebrities in their glamorous black-and-white ensembles.
Apart from the mini Kapamilya crossover and Marian-Heart reunion, several celebrity couples also made a "red carpet launch," generating major buzz online, including the apparent budding romance of Kyline Alcantara and Kobe Paras. Check them out below.
Kyline Alcantara and Kobe Paras
Amid dating rumors, Kobe Paras said he and Kyline Alcantara are “great friends.”
The basketball athlete made the statement during his interview with GMA News Online at GMA Gala 2024.
“We are great friends,” Kobe said. “Bakit girlfriend agad? Nagtanong na ba ako?” He added.
“We are just great friends right now, really close friends,” he stressed. He also confirmed that Kyline was present at the opening of his tattoo studio, Nown Studio.
The two graced the red carpet separately but were spotted together at the rest of the event; Kyline donned a silver symmetrical cording on top of a champagned-colored silk gown by Cult Gaia. Kobe, meanwhile, donned a sharp custom black suit by Chynna Mamawal.
The two fueled dating rumors in May after eagle-eyed social media users noticed their Instagram posts were taken in an identical location.
The basketball player recently uploaded an IG story of a restaurant, showing its chefs and two glasses of wine. Kyline, meanwhile, posted an IG carousel, which includes random shots, selfies, and behind-the-scenes photos of her projects.
It also features a snap of a meal on what appears to be the same table seen in Kobe's story as well as a dimmed image of the kitchen captured from the same angle in his post. Days after, Kobe left a heart eyes emoji on Kyline’s Instagram post, which he also reposted on his Instagram story.
In June, they were spotted holding hands while walking around Bonifacio Global City.
Despite this, the two remained tight-lipped on their real score. In June, Kyline shared that she’s “not yet ready” to fall in love again.
Yassi Pressman and Luigi Villafuerte
Making her GMA Gala debut, Black Rider actress Yassi Pressman and Camarines Sur Governor Luigi Villafuerte donned a matching white ensemble by Anthony Ramirez.
The two sparked dating rumors in 2023. In August of the same year, Yassi revealed they were in a “getting to know each other” stage.
The two made headlines in May this year for their public display of affection, sharing an intense kiss on stage during the Kaogma Festival in Camarines Sur.
The two did not directly confirm their real score, but they often show affection for each other on their social media pages.
Ysabel Ortega and Miguel Tanfelix
Also making their debut at the event as a couple were Firefly stars Ysabel Ortega and Miguel Tanfelix. The two looked ethereal in their matching all-white ensembles by Mark Bumgarner and Julianne Syjuco.
Miguel first revealed on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda in January 2023 that he is courting Ysabel, saying, “Mahal na mahal ko siya.” In December of the same year, the two appeared on the same show and confirmed that they are “exclusively dating.”
They won the “Couple of the Night” for this year’s gala, alongside longtime couple Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz.
