Liam Payne's friend says hotel where singer tragically fell is responsible for his death

Liam Payne's friend, who was charged for the singer's death, said the Buenos Aires hotel where Liam stayed is responsible for his tragic fall.

TMZ reported that Roger Nores filed new documents in an Argentina court against the CasaSur Palermo Hotel. It didn't specify what charges he's pressing.

Nores said the hotel had no 24-hour doctor available despite the law requiring the country's establishments to have one. He noted that the hotel should've had a doctor present when Payne checked in.

"A world-famous person was staying with obvious signs of going through a crisis caused by drug intake at that very moment, and they did not even make an effort there to make up for their legal omission of having a 24-hour doctor," Nores is quoted as saying in the court documents that TMZ obtained.

He also accused the hotel of not keeping the singer safe, pointing out that the operations manager knew the singer was under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Nores said the establishment was aware that Payne was high for three days straight but did nothing about it.

He claimed he didn't leave Payne alone before he fell from the balcony, alleging it was the hotel manager.

Per Nores, Payne was trying to escape the hotel after its staff carried him to his room. He noted that Payne had a hat and a bag with him when he fell.

Nores is facing charges of abandonment of a person followed by death, and supply and facilitation of narcotics alongside Payne's other friend Braian Nahuel Paiz and hotel worker Ezequiel David Pereyra, the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office of Argentina said in a statement on Nov. 7.

Paiz and Pereyra previously denied the accusations.

Payne fell to his death from a hotel balcony. He was 31.

His room was found destroyed, with broken objects and furniture, along with alcohol and suspected drugs.

Officials determined that Payne died from multiple traumas and internal and external bleeding caused by the fall. He “did not adopt a reflexive posture to protect himself and ... he may have fallen in a state of semi- or total unconsciousness,” they said.

As the investigation into his death is ongoing, the prosecution said it was considering ruling out the possibility of suicide, because “in the state [Payne] was going through, he did not know what he was doing nor could he understand it.”

His body was delivered to his father, Geoff Payne, last November after an autopsy report, including several toxicology tests, showed Payne had traces of alcohol, cocaine, and a prescription antidepressant in his system in the moments before his death.

Payne's funeral was held on Nov. 20 at St. Mary's Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. Aside from his parents, his girlfriend Kate Cassidy and ex Cheryl Tweedy were there. His former One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson were also spotted at the private service.
