‘I missed you, kuya’: Claudine Barretto reunites with Dennis Padilla

Claudine Barretto had an emotional reunion with Dennis Padilla on Saturday, June 17.

In a video shared by the actress on Instagram, the former in-laws can be seen in tears as they shared a heartwarming hug during the dedication ceremony of Claudine’s children Quia and Noah this weekend.

“I miss you, Kuya,” she told Dennis. To which, he replied: “I missed you, too.”

“It’s okay, it’s okay,” he told a crying Claudine.

This comes less than a month after the two had a short but sweet exchange online, where Claudine thanked Dennis for loving her children to this day.

In the actress’ Instagram post in late May about Sabina's graduation and Santino’s recognition day, Dennis expressed his heartfelt congratulations to her kids in the comment section of Claudine's video. “Congrats, mga anak,” he commented, adding clapping and heart emojis. 

“Thank you so much, kuya. May scholar na ako. Si Sab! Santino, nine awards,” Claudine replied.

“Thank you so much for loving my kids hanggang ngayon. We love you, kuya,” she added.

Dennis is the former partner of Claudine’s sister Marjorie. He and the latter separated in 2007. Their three children—Leon, Claudia, and Julia—decided to change their surname from Padilla to Barretto later on amid a decade-long rift.
