'Friends' co-stars attend Matthew Perry's funeral

Matthew Perry was finally laid to rest on Friday (US time).

In a report by TMZ, the actor's loved ones, including mom Suzanne, dad John Bennett Perry, and stepfather, Keith Morrison, attended the two-hour funeral at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles. The lot is near Warner Bros. Studios where the actor's iconic 90s show Friends was filmed.

A source also told People that his Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer were also in attendance.

Matthew died on Oct. 28 at his home in Los Angeles after an apparent drowning. According to the authorities, they received a 911 call from his assistant, who found him unresponsive in his jacuzzi. They added that no drugs or evidence of foul play were found at the scene.

The Fools Rush In star's autopsy has been completed, however, results are pending a toxicology.

Many of Matthew's friends remembered him, including the cast of Friends. They said in a joint statement Tuesday, Oct. 31 (Philippine time) that they have been left "utterly devastated" by the sudden death of their co-star.
"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family," their statement read. "There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss."

"In time we will say more, as and when we are able," it continued. "For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."

Matthew was 54.
