Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, and more to star in Netflix's 'Beef' season 2
Comedy-drama series Beef has been renewed for a second season with an all-new star-studded cast.
Netflix’s Tudum announced on Wednesday, Oct. 23 that the hit offbeat series has been renewed for another season. It will star Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny.
The new season will be about a young couple who witnessed “an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner.”
Lee Sung Jin will return as the series’ director, showrunner, and producer. Co-producing the series are Jake Schreier and season one stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.
The upcoming season will have eight 30-minute episodes. More details, including its release date and other cast members, have yet to be unveiled.
The hit series, which premiered in April 2023, follows the captivating story of Danny Choo (Yeun) and Amy Lau (Wong), two strangers embroiled in a heated road rage incident. They have since found themselves involved in each other’s lives in more ways than one.
It won two SAG Awards, three Golden Globes Awards, four Critics Choice Awards, and eight Emmy Awards including Outstanding Lead Actor and Actress for Yeun and Wong.
