Ji Chang-wook named newest ambassador of this Filipino-owned health and wellness brand
South Korean actor Ji Chang-wook recently joined IAM Worldwide, a Filipino-owned brand known for everyday health products and supplements, as their newest international ambassador.
In a press release, co-founder and President Allen Marvin Yu Eder said that Chang-wook being its latest brand ambassador is a dream come true.
"Ji Chang-wook is a dream come true for IAM Worldwide," he said in a statement.
Eder added, "In line with our company’s objectives to enrich the lives of our customers and wholesalers by bringing them world-class quality products and offerings, we are very pleased to announce that Ji Chang-wook has joined the IAM Worldwide family as a brand endorser.”
Its co-founder and Vice President Aika Lorraine Uy also lauded Eder's statement, saying that they are grateful to the South Korean actor for choosing the brand as his "preferred health and wellness partner" in the country.
"His mark of approval recognizes our efforts and gives us confidence in continuing our commitment to better the lives of those we serve. Gamsahamnida!" Uy underscored.
With this announcement, Hallyu fans are already anticipating his return to the country for another event by the health and wellness brand.
"As an avid fan of Ji Chang-wook, having my all-time favorite K-Actor is truly an honor for us. We cannot wait to welcome him back to the Philippines. Mabuhay ka, Oppa!" the brand's general manager Joanna Mañego said.
Earlier in August, the K-drama star visited the country for his Moments With Ji Chang Wook fan meeting held on Sunday, August 4, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, organized by the Filipino clothing and lifestyle brand Bench.
This comes after his first visit to the country, last August 2022, with his Reach You fan meeting.
Chang-wook is famous for his role in the 2023 romantic comedy-drama series Welcome to Samdal-ri with Mr. Queen star Shin Hye Sun. He is also known for his breakthrough roles in various K-dramas, including Empress Ki (2013), Healer (2014), The K2 (2016), The Sound of Magic (2022), and The Worst of Evil (2023), among others.
He is set to star in the Disney+ series Gangnam B-Side, which is available to stream on Nov. 6. Chang-wook will be joining A-list K-actors including Bibi, Jo Woo-jin, and Ha-Yoon-Kyung.
