Dennis Padilla sends birthday greetings to estranged daughter, Julia Barretto
Dennis Padilla has reached out to his daughter, Julia Barretto, a day before her 25th birthday.
The actor shared throwback photos of the star where the two are beaming happily during Julia's graduation, and another of Julia as a child.
"Julia.... Time really flies... Advance happy birthday... Love you anak," Padilla wrote while tagging his showbiz friends Janno Gibbs, Andrew E., and Randy Santiago. He also mentioned Julia's eldest sister, Dani.
Julia isn't following her father on the social media platform.
Julia had become estranged to her father after his separation from Marjorie. Shortly after, the siblings changed their surname from Padilla to Barretto.
In 2021, Julia and Dennis started their road to reconciliation after the former shared a now-deleted vlog interviewing her father.
"You question why you feel like nobody’s responding, not knowing how much pain and hurt you’ve caused us before trying to talk to us," Julia said. "That’s why you couldn’t hear from us. We were already too pained, too scared of you
"I wish you would also recognize and acknowledge the fact that maybe, ‘I have done something to scare my kids off.'"
After deleting her vlog, rumors once again speculated about a rift between the two.
