Hyun Bin reveals being inspired to work harder now that he's a father during 'The Point Men' press conference
From his effective portrayal of a North Korean military officer to a young and rich CEO, South Korean actor Hyun Bin now has a new role to take on—a real-life father. And this first-time "appa" is eager to do well in that more than anything.
Hyun Bin revealed this during the press conference of his upcoming film The Point Men in South Korea today, Dec. 20. During the event, the 40-year-old star talked about his role in the movie and gave a short glimpse at what it is like being a new dad.
Hyun Bin and his wife, Crash Landing on You co-star Son Ye Jin, welcomed their baby boy in November this year. Ye Jin's talent agency MSTeam Entertainment announced the news on Nov. 27. "It is true that Son Ye-jin gave birth. Both the mother and child are healthy," the agency said in a release.
Almost a month after the birth of their first child, Hyun Bin finally opened up about being a father at today's event. He said, "The shooting [of the film] was done before I have a child, so there is not much difference. I don't know, now my shoulders become heavier as I am the head of the family."
"In the future, I have to work harder and become a wonderful appa (father)," he continued. "That's all I can think of right now."
