Dani Barretto regrets posting Alex Gonzaga video smearing cake icing on server
Content creator Dani Barretto said she regrets posting the now infamous video of Alex Gonzaga smearing cake icing on a server's forehead.
This is the first time that Dani, the daughter of Marjorie Barretto of the famous showbiz family, addressed the issue in over a week.
"Of course, I do have regrets kasi nakasakit ako ng tao," Dani told Mario Dumaual of ABS-CBN News. "Siyempre, wala sa intensiyon kong makasakit lalo na on her birthday."
Dani said she has apologized to Alex once the video spread like wildfire online despite being deleted already.
"Okay kami ni Alex. Wala kaming ill feelings towards each other," she told Dumaual, when asked if "all is forgiven."
She noted that she also maintained her silence because she doesn't want to make things worse.
"Move on na rin tayo sa issue na ito," Dani said.
Many netizens took Alex to task, with their criticisms mostly revolving around her “prank” lacking respect, and her “kalog,” playful personality just won’t cut it.
The blunder also struck a chord the most with workers from the hotel and restaurant industry themselves.
Server Allan Crisostomo, meanwhile, said Alex has already apologized to him in person for her actions.
"Okay na po kami," Allan said.
