Be ready to ‘spread your wings and prepare to fly’ as the legendary Mariah Carey is celebrating her classic album milestone!
In her recent Instagram post, the songbird supreme announced the 25th anniversary of her precious Butterfly album together with a video montage of surprises for her fans to honor the said occasion.
The 25-year-old album is the home of the versatile diva's hits such as My All, Breakdown, Butterfly, Honey, and The Roof. Carey will add a dash of nostalgia to the music scene on Friday, September 16 as she unravels a deluxe reissue of the 1997 LP 8 bonus tracks, Honey music video documentary, Honey and The Roof music videos in 4K, classic live performance videos, new merchandise and cassette editions, and other surprises.
#Butterfly is the sixth studio album of the singer-songwriter which was originally released on September 16, 1997. The album, which contains contemporary and hip-hop songs, was also labeled the "most personal album" of Carey after her devastating divorce from Tommy Mottola.
The Butterfly album came to be her wings in showcasing not just her vocal prowess as one of the sought-after contemporary musicians, but also her strength and essence as a woman.
On the other hand, Lambily (name of Mariah Stans) expressed their joy and excitement through tweets. Everyone is delighted to celebrate the album anniversary on Friday and witness another breathtaking performance from their idol.

As reported by Billboard Magazine, Mariah Carey is also set to perform at the 2022 Global Citizen Festival in New York City this September together with other performers like Metallica, Charlie Puth, the Jonas Brothers, Usher, and Sza.
