K-pop comebacks to look forward to this October

2023 has been proving to be a vibrant year for K-pop. From hot debuts to addictive comebacks and concerts, fans all around the world have received lots of content from their faves—and are ecstatic to hear what else is in store for them.  

As we reach the last quarter of 2023, we can’t help but wonder– do our faves have any last-minute showstoppers before we cap the year off?

 SEVENTEEN

It’s confirmed: SEVENTEEN will be having their comeback at the end of October! 

 An exclusive report from news outlet Hankook Ilbo announced that the boys of SEVENTEEN are gearing up for an October comeback. This was then confirmed by the group’s company Pledis Entertainment.  

“It’s correct that SEVENTEEN is preparing for their comeback with their 11th mini-album at the end of October. We are currently preparing the final stages of the album. We will inform you of the detailed comeback schedule at a later date,” Pledis Entertainment’s statement read.  

SEVENTEEN members Seungkwan and S.Coups are also reported to be joining the upcoming comeback after their break due to health issues.   

The group’s latest domestic comeback was in April with Super. On Aug. 22, they released their Japanese album Always Yours with the title track Ima- Even if the world ends tomorrow-.

Heads up, MOA! It won’t be long until we hear from Tomorrow X Together (TXT) again.   

On Aug. 29, South Korean news outlet Sports Chosun reported that TXT is in the final stages of their comeback preparations, and is set to release their new album on Oct. 13.  

BIGHIT MUSIC, the group’s label, later released a teaser officially revealing the upcoming album’s name and release date.  

Their upcoming album, titled The Name Chapter: Freefall, will be released on Oct. 13. 

The launch comes nine months since their last domestic release with Sugar Rush Ride, as well as their album The Name Chapter: Temptation. They have also recently released Do It Like That, a collaboration with the Jonas Brothers. 

On Aug. 13, the boys wrapped up their "Act: Sweet Mirage" world tour, with the Philippine Arena as their final stop.

NCT 127

The boys of NCT 127 are coming in hot with their upcoming comeback album Fact Check! 

While an October comeback for the boys has been made known to the public since May, it was only on Aug. 26 that they unveiled the album’s name.   

An 11-second clip was shown during the group’s “NCT NATION: To The World” concert, ending with the album’s name and comeback date–Oct. 6.   

During the concert, NCT’s Taeyong said that he considers Fact Check–the group’s fifth album to date–to be their most “NCT 127-esque” album yet.  

Before their comeback, NCT 127 released their documentary series NCT 127: The Lost Boys on Disney+.

All NCT units also united to release the group’s fourth full-length album, Golden Age, on Aug. 28. Meanwhile, NCT DoJaeJung–another unit consisting of Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo–held their “Scented Symphony: Perfume” fan con at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on June 24.

The ladies of IVE are ready to dive back into the K-pop scene!  

On July 27, a source from the group’s label, Starship Entertainment, confirmed that IVE is gearing up for an October comeback, as well as a concert after their promotions.  

The upcoming comeback will mark IVE’s first Korean comeback in six months since the release of their last album I’ve IVE in April. They also dropped their Japanese single titled Wave in May.   

The girls successfully wrapped up their first fan concert titled “The Prom Queens” on July 8, where they toured seven cities, including Manila.
