"I really want to stay alive."

This is what Kris Aquino said as she gave a lengthy update on her health amid her battle with her multiple autoimmune diseases in the latest episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.

In what Boy regards as one of the most difficult episodes of his program, the Queen of All Media revealed that her condition has worsened to the point that it has affected her heart, wherein she could suffer from a cardiac arrest anytime.

"Our heart is surrounded by muscles para maprotektahan 'yung puso. 'Yung muscles na 'yun that are surrounding my heart, magang maga sila," Kris explained.

May point na nag-enjoy ko 'yung bathtub, nagbanlaw ako, it was 146," she continued.

Kris stressed that this puts her in a high-risk situation. "I could have a stroke at any time," she revealed, noting that some relatives in her father's side also suffered from cardiovascular diseases.

But there's still hope as the actress shared that she and her doctors are planning to test a biological medicine for her body in the next six months.

"This is my chance to save my heart because kung hindi ito tumalab, I stand a very strong chance of having cardiac arrest. As in pwede [mangyari] in my sleep, or kung ano man ang ginagawa ko, pwedeng tumigil na lang 'yung pagtibok ng puso," Kris said.

"Bawat araw, especially now birthday ko pa, pahiram na lang 'to ng Diyos, so whatever days are left, kung ano man ang natitira, it's a blessing. But I really want to stay alive," she continued, adding that she made a promise to her 16-year-old son that she will do her best to be healthy again.

Kris is currently residing in the United States to treat her condition. According to her, the reason why she is still struggling to be better despite access to the best doctors is because of her allergy to a lot of medicines.

As simple as Biogesic, Ponstan, Advil, 'yung mga fever reducers, lahat 'yan allergic ako," she said.

Kris closed the interview by expressing her gratitude towards God as well as a promise to her fans: "Hindi ko kayo bibiguin dahil sumuko ako.

The TV icon is battling five autoimmune diseases which she's getting treatment for at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
