Imagine Kim Taehyung jamming to your song? One can dream, except if you’re Paolo Sandejas.

Singer-songwriter Paolo Sandejas couldn’t hide his excitement after BTS’ V was spotted singing along to his 2020 song, Sorry, in a carefree road trip vlog uploaded on BANGTANTV’s YouTube channel on Saturday, July 9.

In BANGTANTV’s vlog, V drove on the streets of South Korea as he jammed to Sandejas’ song, Justin Bieber’s Ghost, Willow Smith’s Wait A Minute, and Lizzo’s About Damn Time. He even visited his dentist, played golf, and ate food.

Of course, ARMYs made sure to mention Sandejas on social media to tell him the good news. “HOLY F***ING S**T,” Sandejas said.

In a follow-up tweet, a shocked Sandejas was in disbelief with V jamming to his song. “Wth is happening rn,” he wrote.

Once the news finally sank in, the singer took to social media to thank Filipino and international ARMYs for their support.

“Tonight has been insane! Thank you all so much for all the love you guys have been showing for my music. To the Filo Army, you guys are amazing,” Sandejas wrote, adding a purple heart emoji.

Fellow ARMY and theater icon Lea Salonga also congratulated Sandejas on being noticed by V. “In BTS V's vlog, head right to time stamp 25:56-ish. V starts singing to Paolo Sandejas' 'Sorry.' Paolo is a recording artist from the Philippines. Congrats, Paolo!!! What a thrill!!!”

“2 days later, it’s still sinking in. Not sure what I did to deserve any of this, but I only have V and the rest of ARMY to thank :) thank you for giving new meaning to my heartbreak,” Sandejas wrote in a follow-up tweet on Monday, July 11.

In an interview with CNN Philippines’ New Day, the singer admitted that V vibing along to his song was the “craziest thing that happened in my life” and it’s a moment that he’ll “carry until the day I die.”

“It’s a surreal experience and I don’t think I would’ve expected this to happen to me, so I’m just super grateful to ARMY and the rest of the BTS fans for being so supportive of me and my music… Since that day, I really felt the love they’ve shown,” Sandejas said.

Sandejas also shared that Sorry is based on his personal experience with heartbreak, saying that it was a “sad song to write.” Even so, he thanked V and ARMYs for giving the song a “whole different meaning.

Aside from Sorry, Sandejas has released the tracks Sway, My Girl, Rock With You, and Different Shade of Blue, among others.
