Marco Gumabao, Cristine Reyes complete certificate course on Public Service Administration

Marco Gumabao and Cristine Reyes completed their Public Service Administration certificate course a few weeks after the former filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for the 2025 elections. 

The 30-year-old actor took to his Instagram account on Monday, Oct. 21 to share his latest milestone. 

“Everyday is a new opportunity to learn and grow,” he began his post, sharing photos of him during one of their classes. He also posted photos of him holding his certificate alongside his girlfriend.

Gumabao took his Public Service Administration certificate course at Center for Policy and Executive Development (CPED) at the University of the Philippines—National College of Public Administration and Governance (UP-NCPAG) in Diliman. 

“Thank you to all my professors, will definitely keep in my heart everything I’ve learned. 
 
“On to new heights—this time wiser, and with God by my side,” he wrote. He also thanked Reyes for accompanying him in completing the certificate course. 

Fans and celebrities sent their congratulatory messages in the post’s comments section. 

“Solidddd congrats guys !!!!” politician Novan Cajigal wrote. 

“Go love! Proverbs 1:5: ‘Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance,’” Reyes wrote with praying hands emoji. 

“Hope that you will continue to learn. More than knowledge, have curiosity and empathy to solve problems of people. I hope you are not just a young aspiree who will turn out to be just like everyone else in the government. Sana you will be more than your looks as well. - from a Filipino citizen looking for future leaders who are change makers and principle and virtue oriented,” an Instagram user also commented.  

Gumabao is among the celebrities who filed their COC. He is vying for the 4th district representative post of Camarines Sur in the midterm elections in May 2025.
