KC Concepcion calls Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion's reunion concert a 'fairytale come true'
For KC Concepcion, her parents Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion's recently concluded reunion concert was a "fairytale come true."
On Saturday, Oct. 28, the 38-year-old Asian Persuasion star took to social media to share photos from her mom and dad's Dear Heart show, where she joined the two on stage for a heartwarming performance of George Canseco's Ikaw.
Calling it a "fairytale come true," KC penned a short but touching message about the once-in-a-lifetime affair. "Thank you, Lord sa pagkakataong ito na ma-experience ang once-in-a-lifetime reunion ni Mama and Papa, along with 25,000 of you live at the arena!" she wrote.
KC said she wasn't able to share live updates online during the concert because she "savored every second of the night."
"Sorry for not sharing live updates last night. I savored every second of the night that will forever be etched in my #DearHeart," she explained.
Sharon also posted a video on Instagram about their "family reunion" on the concert stage, where KC can be seen giving a heartfelt message to her parents.
"Sa lahat ng single moms na nandito ngayon or naging single mom dati, thank you for loving your children, the way na minahal ako ng mom ko. Sa lahat ng fathers out there na talagang mahal na mahal nila anak nila, Papa, thank you for being there just like mom sa buhay ko, nung lumaki na ako, tumanda na ako," she said.
"Yung past, past na 'yun eh but what matters is 'yung ngayon, and 'yung bukas. and so pareho ko kayong mahal na mahal na mahal na mahal," KC added.
Dear Heart was held on Oct. 27 at the Mall of Asia Arena, five years after Sharon and Gabby worked together on a commercial for a fast-food chain in 2018.
Sharon and Gabby tied the knot in 1984, three years after the premiere of their film, Dear Heart. They welcomed KC a year later but got legally separated in 1987. Their marriage was annulled in 1993.
The former is now married to Kiko Pangilinan, while the latter is now with Genevieve Gonzales.
