Maureen Wroblewitz talks self-love after she 'lost' herself in past relationship
A month after confirming she has a new beau, Maureen Wroblewitz has admitted that she "lost" herself in her past relationship.
On Jan. 20, the model and beauty queen posted a TikTok video of her lip-syncing Miley Cyrus’ latest single Flowers, with the text, “when you finally learn how to prioritize yourself.”
“Started to cry but then remembered I, I can buy myself flowers, write my name in the sand, talk to myself for hours,” she lip-synched.
@mwrob i’ve never really spoken about my past relationship but this song really speaks to me. that’s the thing about being in a public relationship, no one really knows what happens behind closed doors. i have lost myself over the past few years and i’m finally realizing who i really am. i am working on myself and healing from past trauma because i don’t want to make the same mistakes. maybe one day i’ll be ready to speak about it because i know it could help a lot of people

Wroblewitz further disclosed in the caption how she resonated with the song, revealing that she is in the process of “healing from past trauma.”
Her caption reads, “I’ve never really spoken about my past relationship, but this song really speaks to me,” she said, adding, "That’s the thing about being in a public relationship, no one really knows what happens behind closed doors.”
Wroblewitz went on about how she “lost” herself in the past years and finally learned about herself: "I have lost myself over the past few years and I’m finally realizing who I really am. I am working on myself and healing from past trauma because I don’t want to make the same mistakes."
"Maybe one day I'll be ready to speak about it because I know it could help a lot of people," the beauty queen added.
Many netizens expressed their support, and some assumed that Wroblewitz was talking about her past relationship with singer-songwriter JK Labajo. User @user2623747482 mentioned JK Labajo, but Wroblewitz clarified that she is not specifically pertaining to her ex-boyfriend.
“The focus of this Tiktok is not my ex but my personal experience! I’ve been dealing with mental breakdowns because of my past experience for eight months,” Wroblewitz explained.
She furthered, “I gave so much of myself, I had nothing left. I’m still in the process of realizing all my past mistakes, red flags, etc., so I don’t bring it into my next relationship.”
The model then shared how she is prioritizing self-love: "I am learning to prioritize my needs. I wasn’t loved the way I wanted to be loved so I’m doing all that to myself right now. Self care, self love!”
Wroblewitz and Labajo dated for three years before their split on June 2022, sharing that they ended their relationship in “good terms.” In December, Wroblewitz hinted in a TikTok video that she is now in a new relationship.
