Andi Eigenmann's family goes on a field trip to weather station: 'Lifeschooling always'
For Andi Eigenmann, "lifeschooling" through a field trip is the best way to educate her children.
In an Instagram post, the former Filipino actress shared photos of her fiancé surfer Philmar Alipayo and their two children Lilo and Koa during a visit to Guiuan in Eastern Samar. They went to the PAGASA Weather Station as they appreciated the lush environment and clear skies.
The weather station's Doppler Radar Tower lets individuals witness the island from the top while also offering a scenic view of the Philippine Sea and Guiuan.
"This is how I believe my children can learn best," Eigenmann said. "By allowing them to experience (new) things and get curious about the world, all on their own."
She said she's grateful "to get the chance to travel and see more of the beautiful sights in our country."
"Where we didn't just see this beautiful island from the top, we also learned a thing or (two) about how the weather gets tracked!" Eigenmann said. "What a field trip!"
The local star has been vocal about finding joy and fulfillment in seeing her children appreciate the beauty of nature. “I know this varies for each parent, but I get that fulfilling feeling when all three of my kids initiate a good amount of time outdoors to play, or simply just to be outside,” she wrote in a July 25 post on Instagram.
“Nature and being outdoors [have] been a big part of me since I was little, and it's healed me in so many ways. They deserve that too,” she said at the time.
Eigenmann moved to Siargao in 2017. She got into a relationship with Alipayo in 2018. They got engaged in December 2020.
Their daughter Lilo was born in 2019, and their son Koa in 2021.
Eigenmann also shares a 12-year-old daughter named Ellie with actor Jake Ejercito.
