'Legit Dabarkads' throw a bridal shower for Maine Mendoza in noontime show 'E.A.T.'
The "legit Dabarkads" held a bridal shower for Maine Mendoza ahead of her wedding with Arjo Atayde.
In the July 22 episode of noontime show E.A.T., the TV host was given a headband and a sash with the words "bride to be."
It started with a performance of Single Ladies by Ryzza Mae Dizon at their "Da Bar Dabarkads Eatery," followed by other song numbers by Joey Generoso, Carren Eistrup, and Ice Seguerra.
Gimme 5, another segment of the show, featured players that are close to the soon-to-be bride's heart. These included her co-actors in 2018 sitcom Daddy's Gurl, Chamyto and Chichi (Team Besties), fellow TV hosts Maja Salvador and MJ Lastimosa (Team Sez), and her other "legit Dabarkads" Ryzza Mae and Miles Ocampo (Team Hamog).
Her bridal shower would not have been complete without some gift-giving, where Maine received some sleepwear, kitchen utensils, a mosquito net, and a bag from her colleagues.

Her loved ones Sheena Halili-Manzanero, Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto, Jose Manalo, and two of her nephews also made sure to send their love to Maine through video greetings.
Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon—collectively known as TVJ—also prepared some surprises for Maine, including a song number of My Girl by The Temptations.
TVJ's performance was followed by a comedic dance number by Paolo Ballesteros, Wally Bayola and "Zombie."
E.A.T. also flashed an audio-visual presentation highlighting Maine's journey with the "legit Dabarkads." TVJ also gave heartwarming messages for "Yaya Dub," who they called "My Girl."
"Sinong mag-aakala na ang batang lumaki sa Sta. Maria Bulacan ay dadalhin sa daang nag-aabang sa kanya?" said Tito.
"Sinong mag-aakala na ang simpleng yaya na una naming nakilala ay puno pala ng sorpresa at galing na talaga nga namang kahanga-hanga?" Vic said.
"Sinong mag-aakala na ang iyong ngiti ang magbubukas ng kwentong magpapasaya sa mundo?" Joey added.
Aside from thanking her "legit Dabarkads" for their sweet gesture at the show, Maine also took the time to express her gratitude to them on Twitter. "Napaka saya ng puso ko. I am so blessed and I am truly grateful. Maraming salamat sa lahat, Lord. Maraming salamat sa pag tanggap at sa pagmamahal, dabarkads. Mula noon hanggang ngayon. 14344," she tweeted.
Maine got engaged to Arjo in July 2022 after being together for more than three years. Arjo confirmed in a June interview with entertainment site PUSH that they are set to get married this year.
