Maxene Magalona has one advice for young women yearning for love: 'Don't chase. Attract'
Maxene Magalona has a message for all the women looking for a love life: "Don't chase. Attract."
Recently, the actress opened up about her separation from her husband Rob Mananquil, and now she shared some words of wisdom for women, especially young girls.
"Please don't ever chase after men/boys," she wrote on Instagram on Dec. 5, posting portraits with sunflowers. "Don't chase. Attract."
Magalona instead advised women to focus on themselves: "Work on your soul/soil as though it were a garden and let the bees come to you. Work on yourself every day," she said.
"Pull out the weeds/your toxic traits and habits. Let the flowers of your soul bloom and patiently wait for the bees to come to you for your sweet nectar."
'Work on yourself'
The 36-year-old continued to say that when a person chases after something, this sends a signal to the universe that what they are chasing is running away from them.
"Instead, you should invest your energy in working on yourself so that you can feel worthy of all the things that you desire in this lifetime," she said.
The actress posited that the energy should be spent chasing and pleasing God instead. She has always been spiritual, believing that meditation and prayer are the "most effective medicine for our souls."
"So please.. Don’t waste your energy chasing or pleasing boys... When you live your life for God, He will be the One to bring your soulmate to you... You also have to feel and believe that you already have whatever it is that your heart desires. The more you believe this, the more it will come true. But you have to do the work. Never stop doing the work."
Followers in her comments section found her message inspiring, with some users saying it "spoke volumes" to them.
Magalona began dating her then-husband in 2015 and got engaged two years later in 2017 while vacationing in Tokyo. They got married in 2018 and speculations of their breakup started in January 2022.
