John Lloyd Cruz confirms relationship with Isabel Santos

John Lloyd Cruz and visual artist Isabel Santos are dating, the actor confirmed.

The actor made the revelation during his guest appearance at Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Oct. 24. Recounting how he became close with Isabel, John Lloyd shared that he got to know her when he took a hiatus from mainstream showbiz for nearly four years and became interested in art.

"Si Isabel ay girlfriend ko. Boyfriend niya ako," he confirmed.

"Napadpad ako sa pag-e-explore ng art, so gallery nila 'yung una kong napasok," he said.

However, the local star said that he had already crossed paths with Isabel long before he developed feelings for her.

"Matagal na kami magkakilala, we were talking before but hindi nag-evolve into something ideal for us at that time," John Lloyd said.

"Mula noon, present na rin siya sa buhay ko," he highlighted.

Rumors of romance swirled between the two in 2021 when Isabel posted a photo of a man taking care of her dogs last November, as well as a picture of John Lloyd in an art gallery. She also penned a heartwarming message for him on Father's Day this year.

"And to the guy who deepened my understanding of a father’s love, sacrifice and effort. Happy Father’s Day to you,” Isabel wrote in the caption of her post compiling the actor's sweet moments with his son, Elias. 

Isabel is the granddaughter of award-winning cartoonist Mauro "Malang" Santos.
