Ruffa, the only Gutierrez daughter, said that she is still processing Alexa's death and will write more "when able."
"I am still trying to process and accept that you are no longer with us. It’s so hard… Words cannot express how heartbroken and shocked I am. I love you so much my beautiful, irreplaceable Alexa. You will forever be in my thoughts and in my heart. Until we cross paths again… I’ll write more when able. Xx," she said.
Mond paid tribute to his sister-in-law by sharing a poignant black-and-white photo of her with her children. "You will forever be in our hearts," he wrote.
Her nieces, Lorin and Venice, Ruffa’s daughters, also posted heartfelt tributes on their respective Instagram pages. Venice expressed her deep gratitude for the cherished memories they created together.
"My dearest Tita Lex, nothing could have prepared me for how much I’ll miss you. It has been a privilege to have known you and been loved by you. I will pray every day that you are resting easy, I will pray for the kids and Tito Elvis, and I will make sure to be the best ate to your girls. Your passing has left a hole in this family that nothing will be able to fill," she wrote.
"I am so grateful for all the memories we’ve shared. From you babysitting me since ‘07, introducing me to Nicki Minaj, and inspiring me to be the super cool teenage girl just like you when I was a little girl. I would do anything to relive those moments again. Thank you for taking care of me and mentoring me through hard times when I had nobody else to turn to," Venice continued, promising that she "will have the best time at uni" and will be telling her all about it in her prayers.
Lorin, for her part, told her aunt how she was devastated since they discovered her cancer and that their family "won't be the same without you."
"You have always deserved nothing but the best this life has to offer you fought a courageous battle and handled every hardship with so much grace, positivity and faith in the Lord. [Y]ou have been a consistent supporter confidante, mentor, and auntie and [I] never wanted to know a world without you. you are so easy to love which made saying goodbye to you the hardest thing [I] have ever been through [I] missed you the second you left.
She cherished the memory of serving as Alexa's junior bridesmaid, making her feel included in the wedding festivities.
"Even if I was so young at the time, you did your best to make me feel included in all the wedding festivities including your bridal shower[.] [S]o much of who [I] am today is a reflection of growing up by your side and [I] will hold every moment so close to me," she said.
In January, Ruffa asked for prayers for Alexa who was diagnosed with leukemia. She is survived by Annabelle and Eddie Gutierrez's son, Elvis, and their two daughters together, Aria and Ezra.
