All 9 TWICE members renew contracts with JYP Entertainment
It’s official—the nine members of TWICE have decided to stay with JYP Entertainment.
In a statement from JYP Entertainment per Sportsworld, the members of TWICE decided to renew their exclusive contracts with the music label as they head to a “more developed future.”
“TWICE, who played a major role in establishing the prestige of JYP Entertainment which has been a source of support for the group’s growth and development as a representative girl group, agreed to renew their contracts based on mutual trust,” JYP’s statement read.
Per Sportsworld, the girl group’s initial seven-year contract was set to expire in October 2022.
TWICE is composed of nine members, namely, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. They were formed by JYP Entertainment through the competition show, Sixteen.
The girl group debuted in October 2015 and went on to become one of the biggest names in the K-pop industry. Some of their biggest hits include TT, Cheer Up, Fancy, and The Feels, among others.
