Bea Alonzo to spend Christmas with whole family in Spain
Bea Alonzo is excited to spend Christmas with her whole family in Spain, where she became a legal resident after spending approximately P30 million in real estate.
The actress bared that the holidays will be "very different" for her and her loved ones this year. "I am going to Spain with my family, so I can bring my nephews and nieces there," she said in an interview with ABS-CBN.
Since she and her folks usually mark Christmas in the Philippines, the upcoming celebration outside the country will be extra special for them. "It will be their first time to go to Spain with my brother and sister-in-law. My mom, from the time we were house hunting, she already went there to Spain," she said.
Bea shared that they're also going to Andorra. "It will be a white Christmas for us," she added. “Then I’m going to London (United Kingdom) with my best friend, but my family will stay in Madrid.”
"It’s our first time to spend Noche Buena out of the country. Then we will experience snow. So it will really be cold," she shared.
Bea was granted a golden visa in 2022, which is a residence visa issued for non-EU nationals "who make a significant investment in Spain, such as buy real estate, invest in a company, or create employment opportunities."
The local star earned her legal resident status through a Residency by Investment program that allows anyone to travel visa-free in the Schengen zone of the European Union or work in Europe given that they will purchase a property worth at least 500,000 euros (or approximately P30 million). She, as well as her mother Mary Anne Ranollo, can also apply for citizenship after two years.
While she now has a legal resident status in Spain, the One More Chance star is still living in the Philippines.
