Christina Aguilera reschedules Las Vegas residency shows due to sickness
Christina Aguilera postponed two shows for her Las Vegas residency as she welcomed the new year with the flu.
In an Instagram story, the 43-year-old singer apologized to her fans for her decision as she said she would need some time for rest. "After welcoming you all to the new year from the stage in Las Vegas, I’ve been welcomed with a new year flu," she began. "I am sorry to share that my two shows this weekend will be rescheduled while I rest."
Christina expressed her excitement "to be back on that stage in a few weeks."
"I am incredibly proud of this show and grateful for all of the support and love after opening weekend," she said, referring to her Dec. 30 and 31 shows at the Voltaire Belle de Nuit in Sin City’s Venetian Resort, where she entertained the crowd with a career-spanning set.
"See you soon," she continued.
The Grammy winner announced her Las Vegas residency in October 2023.
Calling it a "fusion of art and music," she said that the audience can expect "a modern twist on the performance experience" from her shows.
Christina is best known for hits like Genie in a Bottle, Lady Marmalade, Beautiful, Dirrty, and Fighter, among others.
