Sandara Park confirms solo album in the works
Sandara Park on Feb. 28 teased and thus confirmed her upcoming album as a solo artist.
"I will give a big spoiler!!! The concept of my album will be 'Sandara Park,'" the multihyphenate posted on Twitter.
The self-described "2NE1's fresh vocal & Pambansang krungkrung ng Pilipinas" will put her nearly two decadelong experiences to the test when she promotes her music all by herself.
Aside from knowing the ins and outs of Philippine showbiz, Sandara has also contributed to the Korean Wave (Hallyu) as one-fourth of legendary K-pop girl group 2NE1.
"But it’s still too early to talk about it coz it’s still winter in Korea. Spring is coming and then summer will be after spring. But I can’t stop talking bout my album with you guys. Just relax for now," the singer, also known as Dara, debated to herself.
Notwithstanding, she doesn't hesitate to entertain questions from fans in relation to her solo career.
In response to a fan who asked if she will present both her cute and sexy side, Sandara quirkily replied, "Hmmmm I don’t have any sexy songs for this album, but!!! I can always dress sexy when I want to."
The album will stylistically have "different tropical vibes...Sandara style."
Sandara will also look the part, hoping to always do both crazy and beautiful hairstyles, "Oh my god. But everything is part of me even the weird hairstyles...everything is included on my songs. Hehehe we can enjoy all together."
As Dara of 2NE1, the K-pop idol always rocked unique hairstyles such as seen on the music videos of I Am The Best, I Love You, and It Hurts.
YG Entertainment formally announced the 2NE1's disbandment in November 2016. Sandara has since joined Abyss Company in September 2021.
