LOOK: Catriona Gray is a femme fetale in ultramodern kimono in Miss Universe Extravaganza pictorial
Catriona Gray is putting up a show-stopping display yet again in her latest photo shoot where she rocked a red-hot ultramodern kimono.
The Miss Universe 2018 donned the futuristic version of the traditional Japanese garment during a photoshoot for JKN Global Group's first-ever Miss Universe Extravaganza.
A masterpiece by Cebuano designer Robert Andrew Hiyas, the silk kimono features a waist-deep neckline, high slit on both sides, as well as black and white sequins on the sleeves and back yoke. Another highlight of this quintessential ensemble is its open back, which puts a spotlight on the beauty queen's flawless complexion and naturally sexy physique.
The kimono is part of Hiyas' Bunteduffem collection which was launched in July 2018.
Completing Gray's Japanese-inspired outfit is a pair of red patent stiletto heels and white Serafina earrings by Filipino fashion accessories designer Farah Abu.
The beauty queen showed her 13.2 million followers how to slay the look in a separate Instagram post with the caption, "Day One in Thailand, let's go! See you all later for the @missuniverse#JKNMissUniverseExtravaganza."
The Miss Universe Extravaganza is an event organized by the Miss Universe Organization's new owner, JKN Global Group, which is headed by Thai billionaire Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip.
The event, which took place at the Siam Pavalai Royal Grand Theatre in Bangkok, gathered Jakrajutatip, Gray, and fellow Miss Universe queens Natalie Glebova (2005), Leila Lopes (2011), Andrea Meza (2020), and reigning Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu for the first time in one stage. The beauty queens gave pageant fans a night to remember with their speeches and Gray's short performance of John Lennon's hit single "Imagine."
