'Small girl, big dreams': Heart Evangelista struts the runway at Paris Fashion Week
Heart Evangelista recently opened the show for Vietnamese designer Phan Huy at Paris Fashion Week, proving her status as a renowned global fashion icon.
On her Instagram story, Evangelista shared some behind-the-scenes snippets from the show, which is touted as Huy's "highly successful debut fashion show in Paris."
"Because who said 'Little Miss' can't be on the runway? Thank you, Phan Huy, for making me open your show," the global fashion icon wrote in the caption.
"Small girl, big dreams," she added.
Evangelista dazzled the exquisite surroundings of the historic mansion Maison de L'amerique Latine, donning Look No. 2 of Phan Huy's Tam Giang Lagoon collection— a black dress inspired by the fishing rivers and fishing areas in Central Vietnam, which is known as the biggest in Southeast Asia spanning 52 kilometers.
"Tam Giang Lagoon is a charming place at sunset where fishermen cast their nets, and the undulating water streams glisten in the afternoon sunlight. All of that creates an idyllic beauty," Huy wrote on his IG.
According to the Vietnamese designer, the event was held early on March 3 (2 a.m. PH time). The designer dubbed Evangelista as an "inspirational figure from the renowned movie/novel Crazy Rich Asians, who made a surprise appearance at the last minute to open the show."
Other than the 39-year-old fashion enthusiast, Pop star Ginta and famous fashion influencers and photographers from France, also graced the event.
The occasion marked Huy's runway debut as a budding Vietnamese designer. He is known for his elaborate yet feministic approach to couture while highlighting the "beauty of the female form."
Meanwhile, Evangelista, together with Bryan Yambao, also known as Bryanboy, and Mond Gutierrez, turned heads as they were among the attendees featured at Paris Fashion Week's video highlights.
During the PFW, the actress-fashion style icon wore and attended the fashion week of some internationally renowned fashion brands, including Yves Saint Laurent, Hermès, BlueMarble, Giambattista Valli, and Kenzo.
Besides her stunning looks, Evangelista showcased her newly painted Hermès Kelly, which is worth over P800,000.
She also wore a shimmery, vibrant string dress by Filipino designer Michael Leyva during the KidSuper show.
Before this, Evangelista also donned a daring all-black ensemble from Max Mara, consisting of a sleeveless turtleneck dress with a high slit underneath a thick wooly coat that reaches up to her ankle at the beginning of this year's Milan Women's Fashion Week.
She also wore Louis Vuitton, Prada, Alberta Ferretti, and Fendi.
