Ruffa Gutierrez mourns death of fur baby Simba: 'I can't stop crying'

Ruffa Gutierrez mourned the death of her beloved dog Simba as she thanked him for all the precious memories they had together.

In an Instagram post on Monday, Dec. 18, the actress expressed her love for Simba, whom she described as "the friendliest, the most handsome, most energetic fur baby." 

"I never liked big dogs but I changed my mind when I met you 5 years ago because you were such a playful cutie," she said.

"As a baby you ran around the house looking for the next shoe or slipper to chew on. You would always wanna snuggle and sleep next to me until you grew so big that you needed your own bed. I will miss your wagging tail & loud barks every time I would come home and give you a treat," she recalled.

"The intense grief I am feeling today because you are no longer with us has left me heartbroken. I can’t stop crying," Ruffa continued, adding that she will always be thankful for the time they spent together and the precious memories they shared.

"Until we meet again," she wrote. "I love you my biggest fur baby! Sleep tight."

Ruffa, in another post a day after Simba's death, said that her heart is "filled with sadness and so much pain."

"Our home is more quiet without your energetic presence around," she said, calling Simba's unconditional love "the greatest gift of all."

"We will forever miss you, most especially this Christmas," she added.

Simba was born on Nov. 25, 2017. He passed away on Monday, Dec. 18.
