'Happy Emo Day': Kris Bernal, netizens react to her viral 2000s hairstyle
Ever had that one haircut that didn't turn out the way you wanted? Maybe you just told the stylist you wanted a trim or a little off the top, but they went way beyond that. Celebrities get those moments, too, and Kris Bernal is reliving her old hairdo for all the internet to see.
GMA Network posted a throwback video on TikTok of Bernal from her StarStruck days way back in 2006. In the now-viral clip, the Kapuso star was seen sitting in a salon chair, caressing her chopped-off locks.
"One-inch lang, trim lang," she said to the camera. The video then cuts to Bernal with the stylist, who explains her look.

"Sa lahat ng girls kasi lahat sila long. So inisip ko sa kanya, bagay naman sa kanya short," the stylist said.
Next to him was Bernal with long swept bangs across her face and a choppy rat tail on the left side. She was trying to smile with tears in her eyes—something netizens couldn't help but point out.
The actress herself commented on GMA Network's post, writing, "😂😂😂."
"Yung trauma ko dito.. Chareeet," she captioned in her Instagram Stories.
"I am 2005 Kris Bernal," one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), sharing zoomed-in snaps of Kris' reactions.
"I can understand the tears," another commented on Instagram.
Coincidentally, the video went viral on Dec. 19, National Emo Day, so some netizens greeted the actress for the occasion.

One user on X said he's the son of the stylist and apologized to Kris for the unfortunate haircut.

The stylist also came out with his explanation of the hairdo, commenting: "Grabe kayo sa akin that time uso ['yan] at utos ['yan] ng [GMA] sa akin[.] Cut it short[.] 'Di naman po [talaga] ako gugupit niyan pero sabi go!"
