'The Glory' star Lee Do Hyun to enlist in the military on Aug. 14
The Glory actor Lee Do Hyun is set to serve in the military under the Republic of Korea Air Force this month.
His agency Yuehua Entertainment announced his enlistment date on Thursday, August 3, as reported by Korean entertainment site Soompi.
“Hello. This is Yuehua Entertainment. This is a notice regarding actor Lee Do Hyun’s enlistment,” the statement began.
“After receiving basic military training at the training center [starting] on Aug. 14, Lee Do Hyun will fulfill his military duty through ROKAF’s military band,” it read.
Yuehua Entertainment stated that only the actor’s family members and military personnel will be present on the day of his enlistment, adding that there will be "no separate official event" that will take place then. The management company also asked the K-drama star's fans not to drop by the private affair.
“Please send your warm support and encouragement to Lee Do Hyun who will return in good health after dutifully carrying out his military duties. Thank you,” his agency concluded.
Prior to his enlistment, Lee Do Hyun starred in the hit television series The Good Bad Mother with Ra Mi-ran and Ahn Eun-jin. He is also known for his roles in much-loved dramas 18 Again, Prison Playbook, Youth of May, and the award-winning series The Glory with Song Hye Kyo.
