K-pop artist G-Dragon under investigation for alleged drug use
Rapper G-Dragon is being probed for his alleged drug use, Korean outlet Yonhap reported.
Sources said that the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency booked the former leader of the K-pop band Big Bang for using illegal drugs.
The police, however, declined to give further details.
In 2011, he was also found to have smoked marijuana but was not formally prosecuted. G-Dragon confessed he inhaled the substance unintentionally.
This comes after reports say that at least eight individuals are being investigated, including Parasite actor Lee Sun-kyun for his alleged use of marijuana and psychoactive drugs at a nightclub in Gangnam District.
The actor sued the nightclub manager "for continuous blackmail and threats."
G-Dragon rose to fame as a member of the boy band Big Bang in 2006.
