Quezon City bet Lorraine Ojimba backed out from the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines, making her the third delegate to do so in the upcoming pageant.

In a statement posted on their Instagram page, the MUPh Quezon City organization cited "personal matters" affecting her mental and physical well-being as the reason for her withdrawal from the tilt.

"We understand how difficult it can be to withdraw from something you have worked hard for, and our heart goes out to Lorraine and everyone who supported her during her MUPh 2024 journey," they said.

"We want to assure everyone that this decision was made after careful consideration, prioritizing Lorraine's health above all," they added.

The local pageant organization said that Lorraine is still confident that he can still continue being an inspiration to other people in more ways than one.

"Your MUPhQC family will always be here to support you. Be wherever you should be, and continue being the shining star that lights the universe-our first-ever Miss Universe Philippines-Quezon City," the MUPh QC concluded.

Joanne Thornley of Pampanga has also backed out from the pageant due to "health challenges" in March following Kananga's Natasha Jung's withdrawal in February because of "personal reasons."

This year's coronation night will be held on May 22.

Tickets will be available to the general public starting Monday, Apr. 8. The final round will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Additional details, including the time and ticket prices, have yet to be announced.

The upcoming tilt consists of pageant veterans, including Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2021 Victoria Velasquez Vincent, Miss International 2018 First runner Ahtisa Manalo, Binibining Pilipinas 2022 Second runner up Stacey Gabriel, Miss Intercontinental 2014 second runner-up Kris Janson, and Miss Intercontinental 2015 first runner-up Christi McGarry.

The Miss Universe Philippines 2024 titleholder will be crowned by her predecessor, Michelle Dee. She will represent the Philippines at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant, which will take place in Mexico on Sept. 28.
