Song Joong Ki talks about 'Queen of Tears' cameo, reunion with former co-stars

Song Joong Ki is just as happy as we are for his cameo as lawyer Vincenzo Cassano in Queen of Tears.

In a behind-the-scenes clip from the show, the Korean actor talked about his long-awaited reunion with his Descendants of the Sun and Arthdal Chronicles co-star Kim Ji Won and how much he's enjoying being back together.

“I came here today to offer some support, as actress Kim Ji Won is working hard on the set. However, I find myself enjoying the shooting process even more,” he said.

"The drama seems to have a wide variety of genres mixed in, which made it very enjoyable for me as well," he said, adding that he had a blast on set with directors Jang Young Woo and Kim Hee Won, who was also the director of the popular K-drama, Vincenzo.

Joong Ki, who previously co-starred with Kim Soo Hyun in Will It Snow for Christmas, also spoke about his reunion with the actor after 15 years.

"It’s been a long time since I’ve worked with Soo Hyun, so it was a pleasure to reunite with him. I’m especially looking forward to Soo Hyun’s return after such a long absence," Joong Ki noted.

Talking more about working with Ji Won, he said, "Although I’ve worked on many projects with Ji Won, it feels like it’s been a while since I’ve felt such a tremendous energy from her on set."

Joong Ki also promised to "make sure to watch and support Queen of Tears with enthusiasm."

Joong Ki recently appeared on episode 8 of Queen of Tears as Hong Hae In's (Kim Ji Won) divorce attorney, Vincenzo.

In 2022, he also made a surprise cameo in the second episode of Little Women where he played Park Joo-hyung, a staff member at an Italian shoe store. To recall, it is the same name he used before becoming mafia consigliere Vincenzo Cassano in the drama Vincenzo.
