Chris Tiu renews wedding vows with wife: 'Today has always been a special date for us'
After all these years, Chris Tiu and his wife Clarisse Ong's love for each other is still as strong as ever!
The loving couple shared that they marked their decade-long marriage by renewing their wedding vows in an intimate ceremony on Nov. 30, which was attended by their two children Amanda and Mari.
"Today has always been a special date for us as a couple - dating back to the early years! So, we chose today to share photos of our intimate 10th-year vow renewals," Clarisse wrote on her Instagram page.
"Just us, same officiant, plus two very cheeky girls, and renewed vows to last us the next decade!" she added.
In the series of photos she posted, Clarisse could be seen wearing a simple, but elegant white gown that made her look like the radiant bride she is while Chris looked as dashing as ever in a white polo underneath his dark blue blazer. Their daughters similarly donned light-colored dresses adorned with some lovely flower crowns.
In a separate post, Clarisse highlighted how blessed she is to have tied the knot with the former professional basketball player.
"They say the days are long (yes, very long, and challenging), but the years are short (and sweet)! But how lucky am I to get married again to this guy, in my dream (repurposed) Vania Romoff dress, with our closest friends, in our old stomping grounds, with our two best girls!" she wrote.
Many of their celebrity friends took the time to shower them with well-wishes and their heartiest congratulations, including Iza Calzado, Nico Bolzico, Bianca Gonzales, and more.
Chris, who previously played for the 2008 UAAP Basketball champion Ateneo Blue Eagles, married Clarisse on Sept. 7, 2013 at a ceremony in Vancouver, Canada after twelve years of dating. Their love for each other eventually bloomed them their first daughter in 2016 and their second one in 2018.
