Sarah Lahbati debunks claim she badmouthed Annabelle Rama: 'FAKE NEWS'
Sarah Lahbati denied that she badmouthed her mother-in-law Annabelle Rama amid her rumored breakup with husband Richard Gutierrez.
With the news going on for weeks now, Lahbati, on her Instagram broadcast channel, shared a quote card in which she supposedly said of Gutierrez, “It seems he got brainwashed, that’s why he changed. I can’t stand the fact that my mother-in-law, you’d think, was not well taken care of by her husband before," it read.
“My advice to those planning to get married, get to know your future in-laws so you won’t end up like me,” it continued.
“Just wanted to clear something and this is the last time (hopefully) that I’ll have to do this,” she said. “I never said this.”
“FAKE NEWS,” Lahbati wrote in uppercase as she shared the viral quote card.
Rumors of Lahbati and Gutierrez’s separation began after social media users noticed that they’d stopped posting photos together online as usual, even as they’d been spending time with their kids separately.
Things got more serious when their respective parents made pronouncements. Rama said Gutierrez has been staying with her for a month now as she took a swipe at Lahbati for supposedly splurging while her son was busy working.
Lahbati’s father, Abdel, on the heels of Rama’s words, told the public not to "mind dogs barking” in his post about their family outing.
Lahbati and Gutierrez have yet to address the rumors.
They got married in 2020 after dating for eight years. They have two children together.
