Kaye Abad reveals why she had a 'difficult' time to move on from ex John Lloyd Cruz
Kaye Abad admitted John Lloyd Cruz was the ex-boyfriend who was the hardest for her to get over.
The actress revealed during her guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Friday, April 12, where she talked about her career, including unforgettable moments from her Tabing Ilog days, and past relationships.
When asked who the ex she struggled to get over, she answered John Lloyd, her love team in the 1999 series Tabing Ilog.
“Ngayon ko lang din nare-recall eh; Nag-Tabing Ilog, hiwalay na kami. So nahirapan ako mag-move on kasi magkatrabaho kami, magka-love team kami. Umabot sa point na magasawa kami sa Tabing Ilog, so nahirapan talaga [ako],” she said.
The A Journey star then revealed that after their breakup, John Lloyd no longer talked to her when he got into a new relationship.
“’Di na niya ko pinapansin kasi nagseselos yung girlfriend sa ‘kin, so nahihirapan ako, Tito Boy," Kaye said. She didn’t disclose who the girl was but hinted that she was a daughter of a politician.
“Nahirapan ako mag-move on kasi magkasama kami sa trabaho,” she reiterated, especially since she still had feelings even after their breakup.
Without going into details, she said, “Meron pa rin [feelings], because we broke up not because wala nang love.” Despite this, Kaye shared that she and John Lloyd have long become friends.
Tabing Ilog is a hit teen drama series that was aired in 1999. Apart from Kaye and John Lloyd, it starred Desiree del Valle, Jodi Sta. Maria, Baron Geisler, Paula Peralejo, and her A Journey co-stars Paolo Contis and Patrick Garcia.
