'Glee' star Darren Criss names his newborn son 'Brother'
Yes, Filipino-American actor Darren Criss' newborn son is named "Brother."
Recently, the Glee star took to Instagram to share that he has welcomed a new baby with his wife Mia Swier.
"M & D just delivered their follow-up single. Brother László Criss," he wrote in the caption, adding the newborn's birthdate June 3, 2024.
"And yes his first name is Brother."
In the comments section of the post, Instagram users had a field day with the chosen name.
"If you need to say 'yes his name really is...', chances are you picked a bad name,' one person said.
"The future girlfriend/boyfriend is gonna be calling him Brother," quipped another.
"Darren... I adore you... But you just doomed your kid to mockery for the rest of his life," added one user.
But not all comments were poking fun as some of Darren's Glee co-stars and fellow actors poured in their well wishes.
"Beautiful Bud," wrote HBO's Perry Maison star Dylan Saunders.
"Congratulations 😭😭😭," commented Kevin McHale, who played wheelchair-bound Artie in Glee.
"Yeeeeesssss! So happy for you growing Family!! Love you all!" said another Glee actor Matthew Morrison, who starred as the New Directions' teacher Will Schuester.
Darren married his longtime girlfriend Mia in February 2019 and welcomed their first child, two-year-old Bluesy Belle, in April 2022.
