Girls’ Generation to make group comeback in August in celebration of 15th debut anniversary
1,825 days, 60 months, and five years—no wait is too long nor short for Sones, as long as Girls’ Generation will make their long-awaited return as a full group.
Girls’ Generation (SNSD) is confirmed to release a new album in August in celebration of their 15th debut anniversary. This will be the first comeback featuring all eight members in five years.
Korean music label SM Entertainment also announced that the K-pop girl group will appear on “various TV shows and standalone reality programs to commemorate the release of their 15th-anniversary album.”
Girls’ Generation is composed of eight members, namely, Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun. The girl group originally debuted as a nine-member unit in August 2007 with the single Into the New World.
Former member Jessica left the group in September 2014. Meanwhile, Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun left SM Entertainment in October 2017 but clarified they’ll remain as members of Girls’ Generation.
Some of Girls’ Generation’s biggest hits include Gee, Genie, The Boys, Mr. Taxi, Run Devil Run, and Oh, among others.
