WATCH: Filipino celebrities sing their favorite Christmas carols
Christmas songs never fail to make the holidays a lot merrier and brighter.
This holiday season, PhilSTAR L!fe got to know some Filipino celebrities’ favorite Christmas carols—and even got them to sing it.
Marian Rivera sang Pasko Na Naman, a common Filipino song in neighborhood caroling.
Miss Universe Philippines 2024 candidate Christi McGarry, meanwhile, opted for the Christmas hit, Last Christmas by Wham! In a quick chat with L!fe, the beauty queen also shared that quality time with her family is the most precious gift she has ever received.
“The best Christmas that I received isn’t something tangible, I think it’s just the opportunity that I’ve got to spend time with my family back in the States,” she said.
IT girls Anne Curtis and Liz Uy as well as beauty queen R’Bonney Gabriel belted out the iconic Mariah Carey hit, All I Want For Christmas is You.
For a change, music director Rony Fortich sang The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late), which was played in the famous 2007 movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks.
The Last Five Years star Myke Salomon went for The Story of Schmuel from the movie adaptation of the same name. while his co-star, Gab Pangilinan, sang the classic, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. The two, who are together in real life, also starred in the hit Filipino play, Mula sa Buwan.
Christmas icon Jose Mari Chan sang one of his hits, A Perfect Christmas, from his album Christmas in Our Hearts. He also shared with L!fe the best gift he had ever received. “God’s blessing upon me, that’s my best gift,” he said.
