Miel Pangilinan addresses claims that she's Rico Blanco's daughter
Miel Pangilinan, the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and politician Kiko Pangilinan, addressed claims that her real father is musician Rico Blanco.
In a TikTok video, Miel paid tribute to her parents by sharing a slideshow of their photo and hers. The snaps go back and forth, showing what physical traits she got from each of them.
“thank u for creating me,” her caption read. “i’m forever thankful for the support i get from the both of you, i am who i am because of you. i love you both forever and ever.”
The post got over 69,000 likes, 300 comments, and 1,200 saves.
In the comment section, a social media user wrote, “Anak daw 'yan ni Rico Blanco.”
To which, Miel replied, saying, “Hindi daw sabi nya,” followed by four loudly crying face emojis.
Blanco has yet to address the issue.
The unsubstantiated claims started when Blanco had a relationship with KC Concepcion, Sharon’s daughter with ex-husband Gabby Concepcion, from 2003 to 2005.
According to the rumors, Blanco and Concepcion had a child that’s kept from the public eye.
Miel, born Mariel Daniella Sophia Pangilinan, was born on Sept. 2, 2004. Cuneta, who was born on Jan. 6, 1966, was 38 at the time.
She met Pangilinan at her brother’s wedding in 1994. They went on a series of dates together and got married in 1996. Aside from Miel, their other kids are Kakie and Miguel.
She and Concepcion, meanwhile, got married 1984 and legally separated in 1987. It was annulled in 1993.
