Bookworms, here’s what to expect from the 2021 Manila International Book Fair

Published Sep 09, 2021 3:15 pm

In case you missed it, the annual Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) is heading online once again!

The 42nd leg of the country's biggest book sale is set to run for 5 days from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4. This serves as their second online sale amid the pandemic, departing from their usual sprawling and crowded space held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

MIBF shared the news this recently with the caption: "Surprise Book Lovers! MIBF SALE is happening this September 30 to October 4, 2021. Save the date!"

Not much has been revealed about the upcoming online sale, but if it's anything similar to their first one, this year's MIBF will offer a plethora of reading selections from over 60 publishers all over the country such as National Book Store, VisPrint, Anvil Publishing Inc, Viva Books Publishing Inc, and more. The site will also likely offer a series of talks from acclaimed speakers in the local publishing scene.

As for the payment method, they first offered Cash On Delivery during their Nov. 24 to 30 sale but discontinued the service for their short Christmas sale. Last year's book mail also took over 7 days to reach Metro Manila addresses.

Their official website, manilabookfair.com, is still password-protected as of writing.

Follow MIBF on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for more updates as the days near.
