Bethesda shows off trailer for ‘Starfield,’ its next big space RPG

After traveling the world of Elder Scrolls and Fallout, Bethesda is opening a new universe: Starfield.

Starfield is an epic set hundreds of years into the future. This next-generation role-playing game, set amongst the stars, will let you create characters and explore the vast vacuum of space with unparalleled freedom At E3, the gaming studio dropped a trailer for Starfield where an astronaut is preparing to lift off from an alien planet.

Game director Todd Howard adds that the game is about a group of explorers called Constellation. “It’s a next-generation role-playing game where you’ll be who you want, go where you want, experience our stories and forge your own,” he said.

The trailer reveals the release date for the new franchise, which is set for November 11, 2022. Starfield will be an Xbox exclusive (it will arrive for PC, too) and a part of the Xbox Game Pass.
