E-sports org Team Secret teases surprise for Pinoy fans

Fresh from dominating the Omega League: Europe Immortal Division in DoTA 2, professional e-sports organization Team Secret has something in store for their Filipino fans.

In a recent announcement in their official Facebook and Twitter accounts, Team Secret hinted that something special is bound to happen in the Philippines.

Team Secret posted a 16-second clip showing the classic Team Secret logo in the middle of Philippine flag colors red, blue, and yellow, with the caption: "Pilipinas, Handa na ba kayo sa paparating na sikreto?" The post also used the hashtags #TeamSecret and #Philippines. 

To add more flavor to the message, the short clip shows some Baybayin text (the old Filipino writing system), before transitioning to the word "PILIPINAS."

Immediately after the announcement, fans were quick to give guesses about the meaning behind the message. Maybe Team Secret intends to forge a streaming partnership with a local company, or even form a whole new e-sports roster composed of Pinoy members.

In recent years, Europe-based Team Secret has embarked on efforts to expand the organization in Asia, acquiring a League of Legends (LoL) team in Vietnam while their division in PUBG Mobile has made waves with Malaysian and Thai teams.

Whatever mystery Team Secret intends to bring to our shores soon, Pinoys should be on the lookout for the team’s next announcement.
