Killer doll Chucky is back for more scares in the trailer of his TV show's 2nd season

You just can't keep a good guy down, and Chucky proves it once again in the official trailer of his TV show's second season.

The two-minute trailer, released on Sept. 15, sees the iconic 1980s killer doll terrorizing a Catholic school as he seeks vengeance on those who foiled his diabolic plan in the series' first season.

In this new storyline, the surviving main characters, Jake Wheeler, Devon Evans, and Lexy Cross, are once again caught in the bloody carnage of Chucky as he hunts them down as payback for ruining his plan of taking over the world through his so-called "cult of Chuckys".

However, they are not the only ones that the demon doll has got its eyes on as he also seeks revenge on his ex-girlfriend Tiffany, who betrayed him in the previous season and is currently holding captive Nica Pierce, a paraplegic woman who had an encounter with Chucky in the past.

Notably, Chucky Season 2 will also mark the return of Chucky's now grown-up children, Glen and Glenda, who were first introduced into the franchise in the 2004 film Seed of Chucky.

A new poster for the series also debuted, showing the titular doll sitting on a golden throne.

Chucky Season 2 will have Zackary Arthur, Björgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, and Jennifer Tilly returning to reprise their respective roles. Of course, the series won't be complete without Brad Dourif lending his iconic voice for the killer doll.

Chucky Season 2 is set to premiere on Syfy and USA Network on Oct. 5.
