LIST: First batch of entries for 50th Metro Manila Film Festival

The first batch of entries for the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival has been announced.

The five films for this year's festival were unveiled at a grand launch on July 16 at Bulwagang Villegas at Manila City Hall with hosts Jake Ejercito and Isabelle Daza.

This year's festival features the theme "Sine Sigla sa Singkwenta," and 39 scripts were submitted with five being chosen as official entries. Among them are the following:

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority previously announced that this year's submission of finished films will be on September 30, with the announcement of all official entries on October 15, Parade of Stars on December 15, and Awards Night on December 27.
