‘Jurassic World Dominion’ unites two generations onscreen against dinosaurs
Jurassic World Dominion, the epic conclusion to the Jurassic era, is all set to hit the big screen this June.
The Jurassic World threequel in the long-running franchise sees current stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard joining forces with original stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum in a world taken over by dinosaurs.
In case you missed it, Universal's first Dominion trailer was released online last Thursday (Feb. 10), but another new action-packed spot made it to the big game on Super Bowl on Sunday (Feb. 14, Philippine time).
According to the official synopsis: "Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history's most fearsome creatures."
The new adventure that spans the globe reunites OG stars Neill, Dern and Goldblum, who starred in the original Jurassic Park trilogy as Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcom. The classic films kicked off with the Steven Spielberg-directed Jurassic Park (1993), followed by The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) and Jurassic Park III (2001).
The Jurassic World trilogy directed by Colin Trevorrow, which is set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, stars Chris Pratt as dinosaur trainer Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing. The current films launched with Jurassic World (2015) and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingom (2018).
"This is the movie that I've been waiting to make from the beginning," Trevorrow previously told media. "It's the one that we have spent the past two movies building to. It really was part of a larger story and part of the design. And I think people may be underestimating the size and importance of Laura Dern and Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum's characters in this movie."

"It is very much an ensemble, and that (includes) the ability to take these beloved characters from almost 30 years now, and understand how they interact with each other in the context of a world that we've really never seen before, and have not been able to witness until now. It's very exciting for me. I'm having the time of my life," Trevorrow added.
