Feel better soon, Joy!

The band member will not be able to join Red Velvet in its upcoming concert in Manila due to health reasons.

PULP Live World made the announcement in a tweet on Wednesday, April 26.

“Please be informed that JOY will not be able to participate in the Red Velvet 4th Concert: R to V in MANILA due to health condition,” the local promoter wrote.

“We are hoping for your understanding and support,” they added.

According to Korean media outlet Soompi, SM Entertainment said in a statement that Joy is taking a hiatus from her scheduled activities to focus on her health.

The girl band's agency revealed that she "recently visited a hospital due to her poor health condition, and after consultation and examination, the medical staff advised that she needs treatment and rest."

"We apologize to fans for causing concern, and we ask for the generous understanding of fans that this decision was made after thorough discussion for the sake of Joy’s health."

"We will do our best so that Joy can greet fans in good health again, and we will inform you as soon as Joy’s resumption of activities is decided," they concluded.

Koreaboo, another K-entertainment outlet, reported that Joy had to leave their April 21 concert in Singapore early because she wasn't feeling well.

The K-pop group’s Manila show is scheduled for May 7 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, with ticket prices ranging from P2,500 to P12,000. They last performed in the Philippines in July 2022 for an advocacy concert festival Be You: The World Will Adjust. They also visited the country in April 2015 and June 2019.

Red Velvet consists of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri. It debuted in August 2014 under SM Entertainment, with Yeri joining officially in March 2015. They’re known for their hit songs Psycho, Feel My Rhythm, Peek-A-Boo, Happiness, and Russian Roulette, among others.
