Netflix renews League of Legends ‘Arcane’ for season 2
Netflix has announced that Arcane, the animated series based on League of Legends produced in partnership with Riot Games, will be returning for a second season.
The first season included nine episodes released over the course of three weeks in November, with Act III dropping over the weekend.
Riot Games and Netflix unveiled the renewal during a two-day Undercity Nights event.

Voice stars Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell and Katie Leung are set to reprise their roles in the animated series second season as Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn Kiramman, respectively.
Based on the brief voice teaser, it seems that the second season's story will center on Vi and Caitlyn hunting down Jinx.
While there’s no official confirmation yet, it also seems likely that other members of the main cast will likely return including Jayce (Kevin Alejandro), Viktor (Harry Lloyd), Heimerdinger (Mick Wingert), and Mel (Toks Olagundoye), among others.
Arcane, Riot Games first foray into television, is set in the utopian region of League of Legends realms Piltover and the oppressed undercity of Zaun.
Animated by Fortiche Productions, the series follows the origins of popular League champions sisters Jinx and Vi as they seek to reunite with each other. Overcoming the world of Arcane is a dark power that brings on violence and chaos, and threatens to keep the sisters apart.
The series builds on more than a decade of lore scattered throughout voice lines, item descriptions, and other supporting details in the popular multiplayer online battle arena.
However, viewers don't need to be familiar with the video game to enjoy the animated series, with its breathtaking animation, strong characters, and engaging storyline.
“We’re beyond happy about the positive response to Arcane‘s first season and are working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and Fortiche to deliver our second installment,” said co-creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee.
In case you haven't watched it yet, all nine episodes of Arcane Season 1 are currently streaming on Netflix.
Season 2 of Arcane is already in production, with no set release date yet.
