BLACKPINK announces their first-ever livestream concert to be aired this month
Live concerts may be impossible for the time being—but not virtually! For the first time ever, BLACKPINK will be livestreaming their concert on YouTube on Dec. 27.
The K-pop group and YouTube Music have announced that the livestream concert called The Show will be aired at 1 p.m. Philippine time (12 a.m. EST / 2 p.m. KST) two days after Christmas. The show will be aired exclusively on BLACKPINK's YouTube channel, where they will be performing songs from their latest album, “The Album,” including How You Like That, Ice Cream feat. Selena Gomez, and Lovesick Girls.
“We wanted to end the year with something very special for our BLINKS who have been waiting so patiently for us,” Jisoo, Lisa, Rosé, and Jennie said in a statement. “We hope everyone can comfortably enjoy our first-ever livestream concert The Show at home and hopefully join in on some special perks we’ve prepared for those who join our channel. Overall, we’re super excited to share this fun moment with our Blinks and we can’t wait till The Show."
YouTube’s global head of music Lyor Cohen added that the company is “so honored to be partnering with such great talent and the YG team for this first-ever, can’t-miss livestream experience.”
Tickets are available today, Dec. 3, via an experience offer page or via membership to BLACKPINK'S official YouTube channel. You can buy Standard Access for $29.99 or ₱1,441, which will include an acces to the stream, a rebroadcast, and custom emojis; or Plus Access for $39.99 or ₱1,921, which gives you the same perks, plus additional behind-the-scenes content.
How's that for a Christmas gift, BLINKS?
